Starting conversations with applicants to gather information, send out tests or set up interviews couldn't be easier.
Recruit provides you with a conversation system that will notify your candidates by email whenever you send them a new message..
You can start a conversation on vacancy level by contacting your existing candidates or you can also send a message to the current members of your talent pool.
Starting a new conversation
To create a new conversation, click on Conversations under the candidate's mini profiles, select the type of conversation you want to start, either public or private.
- Click Add
- Name the conversation
- A conversation will be created between you and the candidate
Public conversations are visible to all users, regardless of permissions level. Admin users can view all conversations, regardless of them being public or private.
If you have limited permissions, in a non-Admin role, you will only be able to view private conversations that you have created, or conversations where you have been added.
Invite participants to conversations
You can also invite other users from your team into conversations. Private conversations will then become visible only to those invited.
There are two ways to add more participants to conversations.
- When first creating a conversation, you can do this by searching their names in the Add Participants box
- After a conversation has been created, using the + People button
If you have limited permissions, you will only be able to invite new members to conversations you have created, or are a member of.
Joining a conversation
Using the + People button, a user with full permissions will be able to join in on conversations they are not members of, and also add in other users as well.
All users regardless of permissions, are able to join public conversations.
You will see notifications from conversations in-app, and if you are subscribed to emails, you will also receive notifications to there as well.
For public conversations, all project members will receive notifications in the activity feed for all other members. Project members will also receive an email notification based on project notification settings.
Only participants of private conversations, will be notified both in the app and via email whenever a candidate replies to a conversation.
If you want other members of your team to be kept up to date with your progress, make sure they are invited to the private conversation.
For conversations with several participants, employer users will not be notified when other employer users send messages to a candidate.
Once logged into your Recruit account, you can select conversations from the activity area, in the Notifications section.
